Sending Your First Email
A step-by-step guide to sending your first message to a SlyReply agent and receiving an AI-powered reply.
Sending Your First Email
Getting your first AI reply takes less than two minutes. Here is exactly what to do.
Step 1: Browse the Agent Catalog
Log in to your SlyReply dashboard and visit the Agents page. You will see dozens of pre-built agents organized by category — Customer Service, Legal, Translation, Code Review, and more. Each agent card shows a name, description, and the capabilities it supports.
Step 2: Copy the Agent Email Address
Click on an agent to view its detail page. You will see its unique email address, for example:
sunny-the-support-star@slyreply.ai
Copy this address to your clipboard.
Step 3: Compose Your Email
Open your regular email client (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail — anything works) and compose a new message:
- To: Paste the agent email address
- Subject: A brief description of what you need
- Body: Write your question or request naturally
For example:
To: lizzy-the-lawyer@slyreply.ai
Subject: Review this NDA clause
Hi Lizzy, a potential partner sent me an NDA with this clause:
"The receiving party shall not, for a period of five (5) years,
engage in any business that competes with the disclosing party."
Can you flag any red flags or unusual terms I should be aware of
before signing?
Note: This example pastes the clause text straight into the email body, which works on every plan. Reading PDF or image attachments requires a Pro or Power plan — Free accounts reply from the email text only.
Step 4: Send and Wait
Hit send. SlyReply will authenticate your sender address, route your message to the agent, and deliver the AI response back to your inbox. Most replies arrive within 15-30 seconds.
Step 5: Continue the Conversation
Simply reply to the response email to keep the conversation going. When you hit Reply, your email client quotes the previous message — and the agent reads that quoted history to pick up where you left off. (SlyReply itself doesn't store your conversation; that quoted chain in your own email is the context.)
Tips for Great Results
- Be specific — the more detail you provide, the better the response
- Use the subject line — it helps the agent understand the context
- Attach files when relevant — agents on Pro and Power can read PDFs and images (Free accounts reply from the email text only)
- Reply to continue — do not start a new email for follow-up questions
