Language Translation
Translate emails and documents between languages by sending them to one of SlyReply's nine language translation agents.
Language Translation
SlyReply offers dedicated translation agents for nine major languages. Send text in any language, and the agent replies with a fluent translation — no copy-pasting into a web tool required.
Available Translation Agents
SlyReply includes specialized translation agents for the following languages:
- Spanish — Translator Tomas
- French — Francoise the French Translator
- German — German Greta
- Japanese — Japanese Jade
- Mandarin Chinese — Mandarin Ming
- Portuguese — Portuguese Paulo
- Italian — Italian Isabella
- Korean — Korean Kira
- Arabic — Arabic Amira
Each agent is optimized for natural, contextually appropriate translations — not just word-for-word substitution.
How to Use Translation Agents
Simply email the translation agent for your target language:
To: translator-tomas@slyreply.ai
Subject: Translate to Spanish
Hi Tomas, please translate the following email into
professional Spanish suitable for a business partner:
"Thank you for your proposal. We have reviewed the terms
and would like to schedule a call next week to discuss
pricing adjustments before we proceed."
Translation Tips
- Specify the tone — business formal, casual, technical — so the agent matches the register
- Provide context — mention who the audience is (client, colleague, friend) for better word choices
- Include the original — always paste or attach the source text rather than paraphrasing it
- Use reply threads — translate an ongoing conversation by replying to the thread with new text
Translating Documents
Attach files directly to your email. Translation agents read these natively today:
- PDF documents
- Images (screenshots, photos of printed text)
- Forwarded emails — the quoted text travels in the email body
Word (.docx), Excel and CSV aren't read yet — convert to PDF or paste the text into the email body. Any unsupported attachment is named in the reply rather than silently skipped.
For longer documents, the agent will preserve formatting cues (headers, bullet points, numbered lists) in the translated output.
Beyond Simple Translation
Translation agents can also:
- Localize content — adapt idioms and cultural references for the target audience
- Proofread existing translations — send a translation you are unsure about and ask for corrections
- Explain nuances — ask why a particular word or phrase was chosen
